50 online mobile business ideas
When I started, I had no idea where to start, what I was doing, or what online business ideas were even out there. I would never have thought what I’ve done and do now is what I would have been doing.
Over the last eight years, I have tested a lot of different ideas to make money and I do believe in multiple streams of income. One business idea or side job led to the next thing, then the next thing, and so on.
This is a list of at least 50 online business ideas to make money online from anywhere on the road or work from home, but essentially they all could be mobile or run location independently and allow you to be mobile if you choose to.
#1 – Affiliate Marketing
So number one on my list of ideas for ways to make money online is affiliate marketing. And I know that sounds like a dirty word, it’s really not a dirty word. It depends on how you use it.
Affiliate marketing is essentially me recommending a product or service then, telling you to click my link and buy it. If you clicked the link and actually went and purchased something, I would make money off of that purchase without it costing you any more money. I just get a commission for referring you to the companies themselves.
You can be an affiliate for a specific company and/or You can be an affiliate for a bunch of different products. There are all kinds of ways that you can make money online by affiliate marketing but Amazon’s Associates Program is the easiest to get started with!
#2 – Writing A Book
Another way you can make money online is by writing books. I wrote a book if you didn’t know that! Plus, you can save money while making money by self-publishing your own book. — You can do this on Amazon’s Kindle Self-Publishing. Or, Apple also has its own iBooks version.
FYI writing and publishing a book of your own technically is something you can do completely free. You don’t have to have an editor and all those “fancy, expensive” things.
True Story: The first book I wrote took me 90 days to get published and had no page numbers in it! So, don’t worry, we all make mistakes. That’s how you become an entrepreneur. — I told you I did one thing which led to the next thing and the next thing and the next thing. So you don’t learn until you actually do something and take action. Test, Fail, Learn, Grow, Repeat!
#3 – Creating an online course
Another way I have found to make money online is by creating online courses. Creating an online course is a great way to package your service or skills and sell them so others can learn from you anytime online 24/7 without having to have you there!
I’ve created online courses of my own on various topics such as: Branding, Crypto Crash Course “Bitcoin Blueprint”, Email Marketing, Product Development, Retail Arbitrage, RVing Crash Course, Social Media Marketing, Website Workshops, YouTube Video Marketing, and more!
You can Create an online course about any topic: Maybe you know how to sew or teach people a skill like music, dance, photography, foreign languages, etc… You can Get started making money by creating your own online course with Thinkific for free!
#4 – Selling your services & Skills
Another way you can make money online is by selling your services and skills. For instance, I could use my digital nomad skills as a virtual assistant, or to help manage your social media, set up spreadsheets, and more!
With My background in finance, I could sell my skills in financial planning. There are all kinds of ideas that I can think of that actually might duplicate some of the other ideas I’ve mentioned. By Selling your services it’s similar to you having a job. But you are the BOSS!
#5 – Freelance your skills
Another way to make money online and you could start your online business is by freelancing your skills. Freelancing means you’re actually physically gonna go out and look for work and find gigs and find clients, to get jobs. But, you are just selling your services and skills to multiple people or companies having small gigs, not just one employer.
#6 – private labeling products
Probably the very first way I found to make money online is by private labeling products. If you’re not sure what “Private labeling” is in terms of products it means you actually take someone else’s product, put your name on it, and sell it (almost as if you made it). It’s not really lying. It’s what a lot of manufacturers do and companies do! You cannot expect them to all manufacture their own products!
If you just go to the grocery store and look, it says “not affiliated with” or “not made by” or “made by whatever company”. These are called co-packers and manufacturers.
EXAMPLE: I have a client who wants to make soap, but said she didn’t want to make it or it was very time-consuming, expensive, etc… so I suggested instead of making your own soap, why don’t you just get it privately labeled and just sell it as if it was your own. Just get somebody else to make it for you and put your name on it. — That would be an example of private labeling.
EXAMPLE: Probably the very first way I found to make money online is by private labeling products. I had sold those vape liquids that you put into those pens to smoke. But what I did is I had this product made and shipped over to the USA from overseas — it was privately labeled. I didn’t make the product or anything, they did everything. They just put my name on it and sent it to me and I started selling it.
Yet it wasn’t something that I did or cared about. It was this brilliant idea that somebody gave me and ended up being a failure. It was NOT a great investment. You should really know what you’re selling first.
Even though some might say, the first product I tried to private label was a big fail it did teach me a lot about importing and exporting, as well as private labeling, product design, and even how to liquidate inventory, etc… It was a CRASH COURSE for starting my own online business and ways NOT to make money online!
#7 – Flipping and reselling items
Flipping and reselling items is one of the ways I’ve been able to make money online. That was really what allowed me to quit my nine-to-five job. I worked for Bank of America Merrill Lynch. If you haven’t seen my story, you can check that out here for more details.
Flipping and reselling refer to the practice of buying items at a lower price with the intention of selling them at a higher price, thereby making a profit. This activity can be applied to a wide range of products, including electronics, clothing, collectibles, furniture, and more. The individuals who engage in flipping and reselling are often referred to as “flippers” or “resellers.”
But I was able to quit my job flipping items that I found at places like Goodwill, Walmart, Thrift Stores, Garage Sales, Target, you name it! Then, I went to auctions and then I would find things online and sell them. I sold both new and used items, and also tested out returned items. But, I really started liking new items. So I would physically get these pallets delivered to my condo in the city at the time and then take them upstairs and list them online to resell these items. I also, ventured out to get an office but that was a HUGE unnecessary EXPENSE! It sucked up a lot of my profit!
So I got rid of it and Then once I sold my condo, I would start finding these items online and sending them off to Amazon FBA or leaving them at my Mom’s house for her to mail for me, or I would start taking ’em with me in the RV, my car where ever I was going to be… So I would ship them from wherever I was at or I’d have somebody else ship them for me. Flipping and reselling items online, you can make a lot of money, but it does take time. And so that was one way that I made money.
I’ve made money selling on many different platforms, but my favorites are Amazon and eBay, plus recently I’ve added a closet on Poshmark. But, you can create your own closet, and start selling your things in a matter of minute, plus get a bonus for signing up with my referral code “BloggingBrandi” and custom link!
#8 – Coaching & Consulting
Another way I’ve found to make money online is by coaching and consulting. So I do have my online programs I sell that people can work on at their own pace, but I also offer 1:1 individual coaching and consulting or sometimes just Q&A Sessions for people who want to call and talk to me! I actually sell my skills and services as a coach, mentor, teacher, guide, expert…
You could be all kinds of coaches online: fitness coaches, health coaches, dating coaches, finance coaches, baby coaches, there are coaches for pretty much anything. If you have a profession for instance: I told one of my clients, who’s into real estate instead of actually selling the real estate meaning the houses themselves, maybe you could either create a course or do coaching and teach people how to sell houses, give them your tips and tricks and make them into real estate agents. Maybe prep them for the exams or just teach real estate agents how to sell houses for more money.
If you have a skill that you already do, you can teach people in your industry or people who wanna get into your industry how to do those things. You do not have to have a college degree or a certificate or special license or anything to actually do a lot of these things online unless you’re trying to be a doctor or a lawyer. Even then you can get creative, but I wouldn’t tell somebody how to operate on somebody.

#9 – Selling Branded Merchandise
Another way I’ve been able to make money online is by designing and selling my own custom merchandise and apparel. Now, people have to actually wanna buy the things that you are selling, but I have made hats, t-shirts, cups, bags, pillowcases, stickers, and more! Trust me if you make, them, and build a brand around them, then People will buy them from you.
For instance: I know a lot of RVers like to sell their stickers and people collect their stickers from them. I even made one for RVersity!

You can create, print, and sell almost any type of product: hats, cups, t-shirts, bags, pillows, stickers, etc…
- Use a Quote or phrase you like or made up
- Upload A design you created (or your logo)
- Get ideas from Pinterest
- Hire someone on Fiverr.com to create your Design!
- Use Canva.com to make something of your own!
Plus, you don’t actually have to take possession of these items. You can do this and they’ll drop ship them all for you. Printful is one of my favorite places for that and where I have created some merchandise and things to sell online. But the best part is it’s all print to order like a fast food restaurant — so they do all the printing, packing, and shipping for you!
Teespring’s another one that I can think of too. And then I think Amazon offers a similar service as well.
#10 – Sell Your Own Soap
One innovative avenue to explore making money online is crafting your own handmade or branded soap, marking the 10th method on my list. I have a client who engages in this, creating and selling unique soaps like shea butter blends, including a special West African Ghana soap. This entrepreneurial endeavor has proven enjoyable for them. Selling handmade soap online is a viable means of generating income. If crafting it yourself seems daunting, consider enlisting a private labeler to handle the production for you—another effective way to profit from this venture.
#11 – Create Jewelry
Another way you can make money online that you could do working from home or while you roam is creating your own jewelry. I’ve seen an RVer make her own RV jewelry and sell it on websites like Etsy, Shopify, her own website, etc… So if you already make your own jewelry, why not sell it and make money online? You could build an entire brand around it!
#12 – Tutoring
If you are really good in a particular subject matter i.e. math, English, science, music, etc… You can teach languages, history, or whatever classes people need to take and make money online by selling your tutor services. I know someone who teaches people how to play the saxophone online.
I am blessed with a high skill level when it comes to math accounting, and finance — anything to do with numbers! So if you have a skill that you think you could teach someone else say even to pass an exam, something that you’ve already taken or have some kind of knowledge in, you can share that online.
#13 – Start a YouTube Channel
Another way you can make money online is by starting a YouTube channel and monetizing it. Hwoever, It does take a while to build get an audience and be able to monetize it through the YouTube Platform via ads etc… but I use YouTube for different reasons.
So I’m not looking to have like a mass following on social media, although one of my channels does have thousands and thousands of subscribers, but I’ve had several YouTube channels over the year and it’s not about thousands and thousands of subscribers unless you’re trying to use YouTube as an entertainer and make a bunch of ad money off of it.
I also use YouTube to create awareness about my brand and sell my products and services and kind of like how I say, oh, you know, I’m a coach and I have an online program and I’ve created these products and services and you can go below this video in the description and find a link to all of those. Or I’ll tell people to go pick up download or take my masterclass, but I’ll will get them off of the platform. So I use YouTube to answer questions that people are looking for answers for or solutions to their problems. Similar to this video and probably how you found me about how to find these online business ideas that you can work and do remotely from anywhere.
#14 – Become an Influencer
Another way to make money online is to become an influencer on social media. My boyfriend calls me a YouTuber. Some people call me an influencer. I’m not a YouTuber, but I probably am someone who can “influence” others’ buying decisions. I am an entrepreneur who uses YouTube, and social media for building my brand, running my business, etc… but I guess you could call me an influencer depending on how you’ll look at it. When I think influencer, I think hundreds of thousands of followers or celebrity status.
#15 – Build an App
Developing a mobile app is a great way to make money online and something you DO NOT have to know how to do yourself. I built an app and I paid somebody 500 bucks on Fiverr to build it for me. And so when I talk about freelance gigs and where I found people, it was somebody overseas who did this for me. So they built it for me for Apple and built it for me for Android and I was able to list it on the store and say, Hey guys, I have an app that you can go buy!
However, I don’t even know if you can still buy it anymore, but it is called RVersity. It was on the Apple store and the Android store. I made money online from it. But, It wasn’t a huge passion. It was a lot more work to kind of keep up with all the updates. Not to mention investment!
Plus, having a $5 app to sell people is the same as selling people on a $500 product or a $5,000 product. It’s the same amount of work, the same amount of marketing. After a while, It was something actually that I started just using in conjunction with my online program.
#16 – Develop Software
Another way you can make money online is to develop software. Maybe you are all techy, and geeky. Or, you know how to code and do software development so you can sell the software that you have created or you can sell your skills to others and help them create theirs! Just like I hired someone to help me build my mobile App! I didn’t know how to do that so I hired someone that did.
#17 – Buy & Sell Domains
Another way you can make money online is by buying and selling domains. You do not need any skills to be a domain hustler! In fact, places like GoDaddy have tons of resources and programs to help you! But you can also get paid for “parking” those domains even if there is no website! People will pay you to post ads on them. But if you’re really good at coming up with domain names, a lot of people actually like to buy domain names and hold onto them then sell them to people later on for more money. 😉
#18 – Buy and Sell Websites
Same thing with creating websites. Another way to make money online is by buying and selling websites. A great place to probably do this is GoDaddy.com and I know there are tons of other places online. But that is what I use because it’s the easiest! Maybe someone wants you to create a website for them. Or you can hire someone to build them and then sell them. I have paid people to create websites for me and I’ve also been paid to create websites for other people!
#19 – Create A Niche E-Commerce Store
Another way you can make money online is by creating a niche e-commerce store (aka a website). Niche being maybe you sell Smurfs, or only pink pens and pencils, maybe you sell dog attire, Camping Gear, Smart Car Accessories, you name it! You can have a niche e-commerce store on platforms such as Etsy or Shopify. Or of course, you can use GoDaddy to build your own store website!
Also, you don’t have to sell your own products you can sell other people’s products, kind of like affiliate marketing, put them on your website, say, “Hey, these are great products and services” then if people use your code or click the link and buy you will get paid for the sale!
#20 – Drop Shipping
Another way to make money online is to sell via a drop shipping service. With a drop shipping service typically they make the product and ship it for you, all you do is market and sell it. You never actually take possession of the product. Whether you wanna create soap, jewelry, t-shirts, hats, coffee mugs, or something else. There is usually a manufacturer that will drop ship it for you or you can hire a drop shipper to ship your own merchandise You make it and then hire them to house and ship it once it’s sold.
#21 – Start A Podcast
Similar to starting a YouTube channel, but using audio. You can make money online by Starting a podcast and monetizing it. Maybe you are not talented at making videos or hate the way you look on camera, but talking is your thing! You can also double down and use the recording from your videos to make an audio version or even read your blog post writings aloud and record it to start a podcast.
#22 – Start a blog & Monetize it
Another way to make money online is to Start a blog and monetize it. If you are like me and you love to write then make money doing something you enjoy and start a blog! Similar to starting a YouTube channel, starting a blog and getting paid from it does take time!
However, with a little hard work, you can make a little or a lot of money in a short amount of time by blogging online! You can start a Travel blog, Dog Blog, RV Blog, Fashion Blog, Money blog (like this one) or a Blog about ANYTHING and get paid online!
Blogs usually make money by building an audience, putting out great content, allowing advertisements, or working to promote other brands and doing partnerships. Plus things like affiliate marketing, creating their own products services and more!
#23 – Selling Products on eBay & Amazon
Another way to make money online is by selling products on eBay and Amazon. What I did was known as ReSelling or Flipping. But, you can sell your own products or you could buy them somewhere else and put them on eBay and Amazon to “ReSell”.
If you have things at your house that you’re trying to downsize. I sold all kinds of stuff on Amazon and eBay. It actually allowed me to quit my job. At the time I had no website, no social media, nothing. All I had was an Amazon account, and an eBay account, that’s where I sold everything!
#24 – Selling clothing via Thrift Apps & Websites
You can get paid to sell clothing online! There are tons of thrifting type of apps out there that allow you to make money online selling clothing. You might already have items around the house you can sell especially if you’re into fashion! I was thinking of things like The RealReal or thread-up, Poshmark, and even eBay are places where people sell clothing online to name a few…
#25 – Product Reviews
Another way you can make money online by doing product reviews and even creating a website for them. You can start a website about all the products that you use. I have a friend who does all tech reviews. Companies actually will now send him cameras and equipment for him to try out so that he can do a review on it. Hopefully, a good one when those new products come out. But, you don’t have to have a website, you can start with social media and YouTube!
#26 – Sell Your Graphic Design Services
I have hired people who were selling their graphic design services, to create things like my logos for me. So, If you are kind of artsy and you do any kind of design work, you could get paid for that!
My RVersity logo was something that somebody designed. I paid a graphic design service or graphic designers to participate in a logo design contest. Somebody won that and I paid them for my logo. But selling your graphic design skills is another way to make money online!
#27 – Ghostwriter or Copywriter
If you love to write, but maybe you don’t know how to sell yourself or want to sell those skills, stories, articles, blogs, etc… to someone else you could make money online as a ghostwriter or copywriter. Sometimes you might be a contributor and get credit for your writings publicly. While other times you might write in the shadows and no one knows who you are. Maybe you write a book for someone or you write for their blog etc… if you have the skills to write someone will pay you for them!
#28 – Proofreading or Editing
Maybe writing is your jam or even editing it is. If you are good at grammar and reading what others wrote, then you could get paid for your proofreading and editing skills. You just make money online by editing somebody else’s work instead of your own!
#29 – Virtual Assistant
If you are good at helping others especially in the digital space maybe being a virtual assistant could help you get paid! Becoming a virtual assistant means you help others with running their business. Typical tasks a virtual assistant might perform include scheduling appointments, making phone calls, making travel arrangements, and managing email accounts, etc…
#30 – Website Developer
Another way to make money online is by selling your website development, coding, and maintenance skills. If you are good at creating websites, coding them, fixing bugs, and helping keep plugins and themes updated why not get paid to do it for others online? I have hired others and paid them a monthly fee just to service my website and make sure everything’s up and running. That was until I learned how to do it myself. 😉
#31 – Accountant & Bookkeeping Services
If numbers are your jam and you are good at accounting and bookkeeping, you can get paid by selling those skills to other people. Either by Finding clients online yourself or working for another third party website to help match you with them! But either way, you have to tell people on social media. You have to tell people on YouTube, and your blog, go look at freelance sites, put your services up there, let people find you, hire you, get reviews, and share them. And then you can get more business
#32 – Google & Facebook Ads Set Up
If you know how to set up Google Ads or Facebook Ads, practically any type of Ads online — someone will pay you for setting that up for them! So if Google ads and Facebook ads are your jam and really good at that, that’s something that I would consider doing to make money online!
#33 – SEO & Marketing Services
Another way that you can make money online is by selling your SEO and marketing services. If you are really good are SEO (aka Search Engine Optimization) and you can help others find keywords, and rank in search results then others will pay you for those skills. I’m pretty good at SEO. I know all about keywords and keyword research and so people have paid me to help them rank their videos, blog posts, websites, etc… and optimize them for SEO! Think Titles, Descriptions, Tags — this goes for products and services too!
#34 – Job Consulting & Resume Writing
If you are good at giving others career advice, or maybe you have a hidden talent for writing resumes then job consulting and resume writing is one way to make money online. I know somebody who went from 50 subscribers to over 500,000 subscribers on YouTube just teaching people about resume writing and skills. Now they have a coaching program and more.
Think about how many people are out there that have jobs and want to transition or get a raise or those that need help finding a job! However, if you know me I’m trying to teach you how to quit your job and not have a job! but if you’re really good at helping people with career type advice or maybe you were in HR or something like that, you can help people write their resumes or actually find a job.
#35 – Monthly Subscription Box
Starting a monthly subscription box is a little bit easier than you think and a great way to get paid! You can find a third-party service to help create, sell, and dropship through. There are companies out there that will already do this for you.
#36 – Memberships
Get paid and make money online by setting up a membership website. I’ve done this before, multiple times. It is really not that hard to do. You can get plug-ins and put them on just a WordPress website with a few simple clicks and set this up for yourself. I’ve seen people create membership websites for sports advice, gaming advice, and more!
There are so many things that you can do to share your services and skills and a membership website would be a really good idea or one way to do that while making money online!
They also have options for people to “subscribe” to you on most of the social media platforms and you can get paid as well, but there are requirements like a certain number of followers, etc… to be able to offer this.
#37 – Translate or Teach Languages
If you know a foreign language you could make money online by getting paid to translate or teach languages! There are tons of people who either want or have to learn a second language! Plus with the ease of technology now-a-days you can find a company online to work through to easily provide those types of services and get paid for something you are already good at!
#38 – Transcribe audio
If you can transcribe and type meaning that you listen to a video or audio clip and then can type out what is being said on recording you could get paid for that! Rev.com is a really good place to find and sell those skills.
#39 – Fitness or Nutrition Instructor
If you are into fitness and/or nutrition you can get paid to teach others by sharing your knowledge online! Think of a gym instructor — If you already do that in a gym, you can do that online. Maybe you create a course, coach people on Zoom calls, or host live workout sessions online just like you would in person!
#40 – Social Media Manager
You can Make Money Online as a social media manager If you LOVE social media and are good at it then keep in mind others are not, plus they might be a little technology-challenged. People have tried to hire me for this in the past and it’s not my favorite thing to do because I already managed my own social media. But the good news is that they have programs that can assist with that or other companies and people out there that will!
#41 – Email Marketing Manager
If you are great at writing, setting up, or managing emails then making money online as an email marketing manager is something you should consider. Maybe somebody else writes the emails and then they send them to you and you set them up to go out since they are not as tech savvy! Helping others reply to emails, and manage their inbox is another way to make money if emails are your passion!
#42 – Write & Sell Music.
If you already play music or are an artist, you can sell your music to make money online! As someone who likes to write music why not sell those songs to other musicians to perform and get paid for your talent! On the other hand, If you are an artist then you can build your own brand online and sell your music so others can buy it and listen to it. So, Writing and selling music is another way you can make money online!
#43 – Sell Your Photos
If you are a photographer and have the skills to take amazing photos then use those talents and sell your photos in order to make money online! There are tons of brands, companies, individuals, small and large looking for images they need for their content! But, they may not be a photographer or have the time to hire one. Plus think about all the B-Roll footage videos require, TV shows, YouTube Channels, etc… Blogs, Websites, there are tons of people that need images and they will pay you for them! so selling your photos is another way to make money online!
#44 – Sell Your Videos
If you are good a taking videos or making them then just like photo stock footage, people are also looking for videos they can license and use online. Websites, YouTubers, Companies Big and Small are all looking for videos to use, and who better to buy it from than you? All you have to do is make the videos and upload them to third-party platforms, then people will be searching for them and BOOM they find your “Dog Video of Poodle Playing With a Ball” and they pay you for it! But not just them, then someone else can pay you for the same footage and you’re on a roll from there!
#45 – Video Editing & Production Services
Another way you can make money online is by selling your video editing and production skills. I have hired people to edit my videos and even film them at times. It can be a lucrative career! Some people need help filming a video, others need help with the editing, and some need both! Either way, you can make money online by selling your skills to produce and edit videos!
#46 – Audio & Editing Services
Another way you can make money online is to sell your audio and editing services. Just like with video comes audio! Maybe someone one needs help editing their audio for a podcast, a radio talk show, or even a video! I know a few people who follow me — have a voiceover business and they get paid online for doing voiceovers. That’s a way that you can even make money online.
#47 – Selling your online research skills.
People will pay you to go research them. You can go to Google, and do all the research, or maybe they tell you to come up with a list of 50 books that they need in a certain category. So if somebody is like, Hey, can you write me a blog post about RV living? Or Hey, I’m looking for a whole bunch of articles on dating advice or whatever they ask you for, maybe they need something for accounting. SEO, you name it — YOU can do all the research and provide that for them while making money online!
#48 – Dating Coach
Another way to make money online is by being an online dating coach or consultant! If you are excellent in the relationships and dating field or when it comes to advising others about their love life then this could be the online business idea for you! Think about starting a dating coaching type of online business to make money!
#49 – Digital Marketing Agency.
If you are excellent in the whole digital marketing space, think about social media, websites, and everything Digital — especially from a marketing standpoint. You could make money online as a “Digital Marketing Agency.” We’ve hired marketing agencies for some of the businesses that I’ve worked for. You can get paid for this, but instead, you can be the agency!
#50 ~ White Labeling
White labeling and reselling other people’s products and services is another way to make money online. So I have been hired by others to create digital content for them, PDFs, graphics, or other little tasks and services. But they are putting their name on it. I just make it or provide it for them. Or sometimes people will just say hey she is part of our team, but really I’m not. At least I don’t work for their company per se. I just would do the work and they would get the money and then they’d pay me kind of thing.
